Hundreds of enthusiastic fans all of them ladies
showed their support for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central York by attending the Ms. Orange Fan Luncheon on Sunday, October 11th at the OnCenter Complex in Syracuse. Now in its 17th year, this ladies-only event is generously hosted by Jim and Juli Boeheim.
Hosted by Jim & Juli Boeheim
Coach Boeheim and the entire line-up of the Syracuse University Men's Basketball Team, along with the Sour Sitrus Society, SU Cheerleaders, and of course Otto, were on hand for the super-fun event. Guests were able to bid on players to join them at their tables for lunch, have their team posters autographed and generally revel in the collegiate sports pep-rally atmosphere. Our Emcee for the day was wish child, Beca Lloyd, demonstrating her winning charm and poise beyond her years! Beca is an energetic spokesperson for our mission. She was interviewed on Big Mike's radio program to promote the luncheon, and followed up with a letter to the local celebrity with an appeal to encourage the community to participate in Macy's national "Believe" campaign to benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation. Go Beca!
